Good Friday, along with Christmas and Easter, is the most important day of the Christian calendar, when we remember the vicarious death of Christ on our behalf. We’ll be gathering with folks from Christ Church at the Prayerbook Cross in Golden Gate Park for an evening meal and service.
We’ll begin with dinner at 5:30 pm at the picnic area behind the Blue Heron Lake Picnic Area., and then at 6 pm we’ll all begin making our way through the Stations of the Cross, along the pathway up the hill. The service will be at the top of the hill from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Childcare will be available for children under 5 years old. Please RSVP here.
If you’re driving, park on Transverse Drive and walk east on JFK towards the cross.
Easter Sunday is the most important day of the Christian calendar, when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Death has been defeated! Please join us as we celebrate this glorious event.
Since Easter is a celebration, and celebration’s always include food. Join us after our Easter Service for a meal together celebrating Christ’s Resurrection.

Ash Wednesday starts the Lenten season, and is an important yearly liturgy as we move into preparation for Easter – please prioritize attending this gathering! Daniel is a delightfully weird book, so Dave is planning on hosting two “How to Read Daniel” gatherings: we held one this past October for Daniel 1-6, and this is the second gathering on Daniel 7-12.
The “How to Read Daniel” brunch will be Saturday, January 24th from 10 to 11:30 am, at Citizens' office in the Inner Sunset. Daniel 7-12 is full of apocalyptic visions, cosmic battles and prophecies. Dave will share what he's learning, and we'll discuss together the implications for us today.
We'll provide breakfast tacos & coffee, but childcare will not be provided. Please register at the link below so that we'll have enough food & handouts.
