One Wednesday per month, we’re gathering as a whole church for dinner, a devotional, and prayer together at our new church office from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. We’ll provide dinner and childcare. Please join us!
Our office is located above Green Apple bookstore at 1231 9th Avenue; the entrance is through the purple door to the left of the bookstore entrance.
We'll be having a special Sunday morning service of Lessons & Carols on December 21nd, with a fuller band and lots of songs & scripture readings to celebrate the Advent & Christmas season! This has been a beautiful tradition the past 3 years, and we’re excited to continue it. We’ll also share a potluck lunch together, but feel free to come enjoy the feast even if you aren't bringing anything. Please join us for our special gathering on December 21nd, and even invite a friend!
We will not be having service on December 28th. We hope you enjoy celebrating Christmas and the start of a new year! Please join us for service the following Sunday, January 4th.

Heads up – we'll be gathering at Citizens office instead of New Traditions on Sunday, November 2nd. New Traditions is having a festival that day, but it happens to coincide with the international visit of a church planter that we support!
Ervin Mittelmann is a pastor of a church in Slovakia that Citizens has financially partnered with for many years. On November 2nd, we're excited to have Ervin share about what God is doing in and through his church, and pray for him. Please plan to join us at the office from 10 to 11:30 am – we'll provide childcare and coffee.
In a day & age where it can feel difficult to see Kingdom fruit, we hope that Ervin's visit will encourage us with reminders of the small + large ways that God is at work in the global church.
John & Alec are facilitating a prayer walk from the Ocean to the Bay on Saturday, November 1st from 8:30 am to 4 pm. There are 3 sections, so you can join for part or all of it. They'll have intentional stops and prompts as they make a prayer pilgrimage across our city. It’s open to everyone, so feel free to invite friends. Here's the RSVP link.

Every Spring and Fall, we get together at least once as members to remember our vision, give a financial update, look ahead, pray, and eat donuts.
Our next members meeting is Saturday, October 25 in the morning from 10am to 12pm at the Citizens office at 1231 9th Ave on the second floor above Green Apple Book Store. Please buzz in at the silver door to the left of the Green Apple Book Store Entrance.

Daniel is a delightfully weird book, so Dave is planning on hosting two “How to Read Daniel” gatherings: one this month for Daniel 1-6, and one in January for Daniel 7-12.
The first “How to Read Daniel” brunch will be Saturday, October 18th from 10 to 11:30 am, at Citizens' office in the Inner Sunset. Daniel 1-6 reads like a series of bizarre children’s stories, but the chapters relate and interlock in fascinating ways that really open up the themes of the book. Dave will share what he's learning, and we'll discuss together the implications for us today.
We'll provide breakfast tacos & coffee, but childcare will not be provided. Please register at the link below so that we'll have enough food & handouts.

This September, we will facilitate something called the Story of God in our Sunday gatherings. We listen to God tell us His whole story, from the beginning of the Bible to the end. The Story of God will last 5 Sundays, from September 7th to October 5th. Story of God is a dialogical environment where we can all respond and react to the story, and learn and wrestle together. It's a great space for people who don't believe that the story is true, and for those who do! We'd love for you to join us, and to invite a friend who's never heard the story before, or is curious about experiencing it in a fresh way. You can find more details about Story of God here.
